An arrest warrant may be issued by a judge or magistrate after a complaint for criminal conduct has been filed under oath and the judge or magistrate determines that probable cause exists that the crime was committed. After the arrest warrant is issued, an officer can arrest you on sight. If you are arrested with a warrant, you must be brought before the magistrate where he will set bond and notify you when your arraignment will be.
